Measuring Guide For Roller Blinds

Welcome to our roller blind measurement guide. To measure your window for our manual and motorised roller blinds, you'll need a tape measure, pencil, and paper. Follow these simple steps to ensure a perfect fit!

Inside Recess

For mounting the blind inside your window recess follow these instructions.

Step 1
Measure The Width

Measure the width of your window recess in three places, top middle and bottom. Use the smallest measurement as your width.

Step 2
Measure The Drop

Measure the drop of your window recess in three places, top middle and bottom. Use the smallest measurement as your drop.

Step 3
Enter the measurements

Select your product, enter your width and drop measurements, and choose the Inside Recess sizing option. Deductions: When you select Inside Recess, we will make a small deduction to the width of your blind to accommodate the brackets.

Factor in Obstructions

If your window recess has tiles part way up the sides, which is common in kitchens and bathrooms, the narrowest point is usually between the tiles.

Measure between the tiles to ensure your blind will fit correctly. In this case, you will need to top fix or face fix your brackets.

Please note this type of recess is not suitable for our Grip Fit Roller Blinds

Blind Size

To mount the blind outside the window recess and overlap on all sides, follow these instructions.

Step 1
Measure The Width

Determine the amount of overlap you want your blind to have on each side of your window recess and measure this width. Keep in mind that the fabric will be 35mm narrower than the total width due to the chain control and brackets. When overlapping the window, remember that the total width measurement includes the brackets, not just the fabric.

Step 2
Measure The Drop

Measure the distance from where you want the top of the blind to start to where you want the bottom to finish. This measurement is your drop.

Step 3
Enter the measurements

Go to your chosen product, enter your width and drop measurements, and select "Blind Size" as your sizing option. Note: When you select the "Blind Size" option, we will not make any deductions to your measurements. The size you provide will be the span from one bracket to the other.
